One wonders whether the Bengali film viewing public would ever feel the same emotional hold by another actress in the coming years. The answer, in all probability, is a NO. I have been fortunate to see some on your films while growing up due to my parents, uncles and aunts fascination for Uttam-Suchitra films in the household. A film featuring you would mean people in the home would be glued to the TC screen the whole afternoon enjoying a matinee show. I will watch your films to relive those childhood memories.

Iconic figure of Bengali Cinema. Why? Suchitra Sen is an icon of Indian Cinema (I'll not even say Hindi here) & will remain forever. She let her talent do the talking, not her mouth or frivolous ways (like todays chavanni heroines.) RIP.
