Can't trust film people as well Government representatives
by Jayaprakash Balan on Jan 17, 2014 03:32 PM

The film people cannot be trusted neither can the Govt. Whistling woods should be shifted. The area where Whistling woods is constructed was hardly a piece of green land in Mumbai, why was there a need for Ghai to accept Govind Swarup's request, but obvious not for raising talent but for earning money. Same with Govt. representative. Any big establishment or Organisation coming up should come in an underdeveloped place not in an already crowded city. For talent to be raised, one can easily chose the outskirts of Mumbai where there is abundant land. Atleast those places could become good and some local people get employment. So, obviously it should close down. Hope Whistling Woods lose the case.

Why are only Khans ruling the Bollywood?

I don't see any result in the Indian Cinema over the years.

Why so much of sympathy in the article for a man who got Government land at a throwaway price? Let him pay the market value and take the land.

I thought the article tried to explain how it was not a commercial venture and how it was not a pvt venture. It is a jt.venture with the Govt Ghai's views appear to be right. However with the courts not having found any justification in Ghai's case, there appears to be no salvation for an institution that has been built with high objectives
