We must not forget that movies are not necessarily made to inspire/ warn people to lead lives in a certain way, with certain aspirations and certain ideas about life. This review would have done itself some good if it would have mentioned that 'unfortunately' ..art has the tendency to inspire people in right ways and wrong ways..but art by itself should never be held responsible for either the good or the bad that comes off it. Reviews like these are seriously dangerous because it starts to make on think about ... what movies to watch? And what experiences to take home?. The brilliance of the film is all that one should look at and on the pretext of placing a review in a social context ..please do not end up digressing from the actual idea of the review...TARANTINO and MARTIN SCORCESE are all film makers whose films make you think via the strength of their central characters and that is why their films tick and that is what is important for a healthy society. And, people with irresponsible streaks in character are 'tragic' heroes and also serve a message in their own way

Seriously?

Is that the review you can come up with? Do you know how a true story is shown on film? People like you should not be paid to write reviews like this. I read the book a few years ago and was waiting eagerly for the movie to come out. You may have an MBA and you may have met Wall Streeters but you have absolutely no idea what the movie was about.

You did not read the book on Mr. Belfort,

Mr.Chhabra, you havent read the book n I dont really know if you would read this comment as well, but the fact remains that I generally like your articles, and even in this one except for a blemish where in you mentioned that Mr.Belfort never cared for his children is the only thing where in you did not exercise care, he completely adored his daughter and he showered love on his son too, and he cared for them so much so that he was only concerned about losing them more than anything, pl read the book.
