This movie I had seen in Satyam (single screen then) in Delhi. On the ISt day, evening show the hall had just about 25 people. It was YAshji's next movie after the superhit Chandni. Frankly speaking this movie was boring and can yawn you to death. You hardly get to connect with the main characters (Anil, Sri- mother and sri -daughter). I clearly remember the critics during that time rated as an average movie. After it bombed, the industry and critics in their obituary started terming it as - Far ahead of its times, different, bold etc. The fact is there have been several other movies in the black and white era, Gulzar's Mausam which were truely bold and in actual terms had a taboo subject. Do reply to this with your views.
The movie bores you to death.Anil looks artificial.Sridevi squeaks in a meaningless way.Anupam Kher was intolerable.Overall a highly avoidable movie.Lata too was well past her prime in the movi.Never watch this movie !

Yes, He justified each and every role he did. Sadly most of the films were not hit commercially though!
yeah i watched it on tv again and again...such a beautiful movie with brilliant performances...sridevi,anil kapoor,waheeda rehman, anupam...perfect casting...sridevi looked so beautiful in both characterss..my most fav movie.
