rkh and aamir khan now getting prdictable
by LJAY on Dec 27, 2014 06:55 PM

rkh going into predictablity mode , you watch all his movies munna bhai series 3 idiots or pk they sermonise alot. delving into serious matter every time and giving freakish solutions is the sort of dj vu now one experience with rkh movies. a sort of manmohan desai of 1970 .. we laugh at his movies now but they provided the same feel good moments as rkh movies does now. as far as entertainment quotient is concerned they rate very high, but cant put it in classics .... same applies with aamir khan people think him as a thinking actor but watch any of his recent blockbuster from ghazani, dhoom-3, or even pk these movies will be ridiculed some years after.. he puts unnecessary seriousness to frivolous subjects (exception to tare zameen and 3 idiots )

quite a sad movie for all its hype..expected better from hirani..who is the only sensible moviemaker left..PK was just a mish mash of all things ...from aliens to religion to indo-pak to bomb blast to media .etc etc..
tried to do to much and failed..
2nd half was downright rubbish..1st was so-so
OMG was a far more relevant and good movie cause it stuck to its theme and did not deviate

PK Review I
by ashish g on Dec 24, 2014 01:20 PM

I have been an thorough movie enthusiast and may it be a 5* or a 1* film, I categorize a film being Good, Very Good and excellent. Same was the scenario with the recent box office release this week which everyone was hoping to be an entertainer.
True to its vast publicity and RHF films banner, it proved every bit of its metal via. Its box office collection. A long drought was finally showered by a blissful rain of a decent film. All in all a film everyone was waiting for which is a complete package named “PK”. Overall the film was having a mass appeal with a message which was communicated and enjoyed by audience and critics equally. There are times, when you sit back, you tend to rethink upon some scenes which kind of create un-comfort as to how audience sitting next to you will react or dislike those specific moments and could have been re-molded. I mean who will like to get a guidance upon how to practice ones religion from a novice who has just landed upon earth.
Re-pondering upon those specific moments, I got angry for not being able to react to few scenes which when seen in movie hall look OK but if seen in isolation, will create a tsunami of thoughts ranging from religion specific criticism to actor bias to make appeal to all religion equally. There is specifically few scene which makes my though process go wild which I suppose each one of us might have gone through.
