Mr. K Balachandar is one of the best directors and story tellers of Indian cinema. He has not only introduced actors like Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth but has made some great movies some of which were re-made in Hindi mostly by him. He has given great roles to other actors like Nagesh, Suhasini, etc. His films were off beat and always had the "suspense" / anti-climax factor in social dramas. Was deservingly awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke for last year.
Best actor India has ever had. KB is good in identifying talents - Kamal, Rajini, Prakash Raj, Saritha..the list goes on. But not all child/adolescent actors can turn into such a talented superstar like Kamal
