Why classify this interview under South Films?
by Ratan on Dec 16, 2014 08:06 PM  | Hide replies

The Quest is an English film, a period film, based on Swami Chinmayananda, who is a universal figure. Why would you guys in rediff tag this under South Cinema? Because the journalist who wrote the article is from Chennai?

Please come out of your regional bias and promote Indianness.

Fed up of rediff, it doesn't even publish decent & factual comments now, just because they don't tow its line of thought.

Swami Chinmayanandaji is the Geetacharya of modern India. His transformation from a post-graduate student in Lucknow, to a journalist with the Statesman, to the one wanting to expose 'fake' sadhus and babas to the one who got initiated into the spiritual path in the Himalayas by none other than the great Swami Shivananda, and then learning under Tapovanji Maharaj, to making the decision to come down to bring the wealth of the Vedantic Knowledge to the common man, to his Gnyan Yagnyas in English, his address in the United Nations and the World Parliament of Religions... his service to mankind has been tremendous.

I have been inspired by the journey, life and teachings and the service of this Great Master. I hope, through this movie, millions do too.

Om Tat Sat!
