India is seen as a non-violent soft nation by most of the western nations.
The reasons are the way our law deals with terrorists, terror attacks, Kashmir issue, dealing with Naxalites, criminals, corruption at grass root level and inability to take firm decisions due to coalition governance.
If the above could change then certainly Indias perception would change. In real world only strength respects strength. Look at the way China is squeezing the marbles of the western nations.
