It's an all-time great joke. 'Coz kangress never approved anything beyond their coterie of chamchas right from beginning (including making their ace licker Tagore's Jana Gana Mana as national anthem.) Hence they pushed for Bankim Chandra Chatterjee to be labelled as Traitor to their masters i.e. British. & rediff is nothing but kangress mouthpiece which is well established truth.
Apart from vande matram there was another song sung by Late hemant Kumar and lata mangeshkar " Jai Jagdish hare'. i could not find the same on you tube but still remember the contents vaguely. truely inspirational and worth listening.
It was a great film written by greatest writer, acted by great actors, song by great musicians and singers. Later on Rahman made a caricature of this song.
