From a DD News reader to Compering,Acting in movies,dramas,TV serials and then to movie direction and film/drama/serial production....Amazing journey by an amazing woman..GREAT lose to Marathi audience.. Above all a GREAT HUMAN BEING.. RIP Smita tai....

An original newsreader. Not like the stammering-stottering-tottering, flowerpot newsreaders of today. Sometimes, personal keeps of the management or influential acquaintances of employees or backward backlogs etc. are put up as newsreaders who torture viewers. Smitaji's smile n style used to light up the screen during news time.
