The initial movies where he did versatile roles is the Rajini I love. Rajni as the villain is so amazing that you would feel like killing him. Rajini did awesome movies as heroes too. I like Thalapathy... His mass movies were a big hit. But the story really didn't have the importance. His style of acting was a craze. If you really feel he is a bad actor after you have watched his earlier (since black&white ages) movies, then I am ready to discuss about your comment. If you haven't, then you have no idea what you are talking about

Dr Raj himself said actor Sivajiganesan can't be compared with any indian sivaji is actor's tilak , where as for acting Super star doesn't followed his own mannerisms formed what he is today all most all the commercial follows him by knowing or un knowing it has been by all the youngsters
In his younger days with similar get up acted as Lord Shiva and has done a thandavam also in 'thiruvilayadal'. I think that is what these people are referring to.
rajnikant is like sachin tendulkar of film industry down to earth humble,on his birthday he always give people gift by giving them home.never in the contreversy.well actor should not be compared with gods but the ppl who are saying below for them i will say they are just comparing the rajnikant charecter from the movie with shiva .i.e his apperance.
