Balan,
Not sure about this film, but overall, Gujarati films are light years behind Hindi and South Indian films. And the chances are bleak the industry will ever take off.
Key reasons being, Gujaratis are not avid film goers and the market is very small, which means low budget. I won't be surprised if the lead actors are paid what a side kick gets in Tamil/Telugu films. Most Gujarati films are made mainly for the rural crowd who do not understand any other language. And quality of those films are as good as it can be for the illiterate rural folks.
Both Gujarati and Marathi had a rich theatre culture. Educated class Gujaratis enjoy watching plays even today. Marathi films however have progressed a lot since independence where as Gujarati films did not. The above film is likely targeted towards the educated class theatre play watching Gujaratis. But an industry can not progress with out commercial potential.
My feeling is no matter how much the state government tries to promote, I don't see Gujarati film industry ever catching up with North, South or even East.
The Sawantwadi-Dodamarg wildlife corridor is moving closer to getting the ecologically sensitive area (ESA) status.
The ministry of environment and forests on Friday indicated that it would consider declaring the Sawantwadi-Dodamarg wildlife corridor as an ESA if the state government submits a proposal for the same.
It was the TOI that had first written about how the state government was considering 49 mining proposals in the corridor frequented by the tiger. Following the expose, the MoEF had set up the Western Ghat Ecology Expert Panel headed by Madhav Gadgil
the good road indirectly means gujarath model of development!
this nomination is to improve the image of NMody and Gujarath!! it is a scheme employed by his supporters! the nation should take cognizance of the plan!and nip the scehme in bud! we should write to obahma to use his influence to deny it any award!

This is what life is, a stroke of luck! Life is destined for its own destiny we think we are driving it, fact is it is driving you. There are millions in Mumbai struggling to be actor and this truck driver who never thought of being one is going to Oscar. Understand the fundamental, we mortals are all actors in the theater being run by immortals, we play our role and depart. So don't take stress live life enjoy and let things flow
