You have been an idol, a model to all the aspiring heroes of Hindi Cinema, including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Wish you a prompt recovery and good health.

After the reign of matinee idols Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, it was Dilip Kumar who reigned supreme. No actor worth the name was ever able to come out of the long shadow case by Dilip Kumar, including Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. You can see Amitabh Bachchan virtually replicating Dilip Kumar in one movie, whose name I do not recall. Amitabh played the role of Father and Son. The end scene is reminiscent of Ganga Jumna, with Amitabh Bachchan speaking in Bhojpuri. As for Shah Rukh Khan, in his early years he very much resembled the early lean Dilip Kumar.
