You are the darling daughter of the great lyricist Kaifi Azami.A great actor and ofcourse an activist.I dont think that the ptriarchal society is much chewed word. Everyone is equal. Happy birth day.
She could have been able to become a mother to not just one but up to a dozen kids if she would have followed the tradition in her community of girls getting married at the age of 13 and getting pregnant by the age of 14!
No wonder muslin people don't want their daughters to get educated and become career women!
Educated, career women are enlightened women!
Enlightened women tend to make rational decisions about their life and career!
If muslin women get educated and enlightened, it would lead to a precipitous drop in the muslin population in India!
Such a drastic drop in its population is anathema for a paranoid community that firmly believes in the concept of 'safety in numbers'!

why stereotype, my friend! BTW, the times are changing....every community was backward but now with education are becoming forward looking. Below poverty line or rural areas should not be considered, as the thinking there has to still progress. When will we modern Indians think of one India rather than nitpick on specific communities. Now don't jump on me to say pseudo secular or secular. I believe that unless we rise above race, language or caste, we will never be #1 in the world and we have the potential and resources to be there.
