This version of Mahabarat is pathetic

The great Epic has been badly distorted to look like typical day to day soap opera full of masala. Such a bad interpretation!!!!

Costumes are still inspired from Greek gods
by Manish shah on Sep 23, 2013 08:42 PM

Why are the costumes and weapons still inspired from Greek gods.. Please refer to B.R Chopra's Mahabharat for Dialogues, Costumes, Weapons.. Also there is not enough light during the shooting.. feels like i am watching Ashoka :)

Dialogue needs to be improved
by Manish shah on Sep 23, 2013 08:37 PM

Dialogues needs to be revisited.. the use of common layman hindi words should be removed.. often I have heard cheap words like 'Mere Ko' instead of 'Mujhe'. Doesn't sound good in an epic of this stature..
Please work on dialogues. Bring more authentic dialogues instead commonly used cheap words.

Not convincing at all.

Camerawork, casting, direction was far better in BR chopra's Mahabharat. Even though it was more than 15 years ago when technology was not so advanced.

For example compare debashree roy to sayantani do you feel convinced that a King will be so enamored by Sayantani as Satyavati to take tough decision to win her love.

One more question....

Where do you find fisher community with ice cape Himalayan like mountain in background. It looks so out of the place.

One more thing. You will see fishermen in background with blue color nylon nets. I did not know polymer technology existed during Mahabharata time.
