SUBROTO RAY
Bachaan Allergy
by SUBROTO RAY on Sep 04, 2013 08:06 AM

I am allergic to this fake old Bachaan who seems to be counting his money even while going to his grave. Rest of the cast is ok and should do well. But if it fails it would be due to the one factor.

Satyagraha
by Pratyush Srivastava on Sep 03, 2013 05:05 PM

Movie started with a positive note first half built up the great theme audience expected to end with a climax showing victory of masses over corrupt polics. Instead 2nd half wend directionless and culminated into a defeated movement, unlike the Satyagraha of pre-independence times.

Satyagraha Tuesday Box Office Collection Report
Posted by Ankit Mamgain on September 3, 2013

Satyagraha Box Office Report:

The multi-starrer political thriller ‘Satyagraha‘, directed by Prakash Jha is doing wonders at the box office, seems looking at the reports. Although the film was expected to fare decent at box office yet this kind of overwhelming response was unexpected from this one keeping in mind its content and genre. As the film is off-beat from regular masala entertainers which Bollywood keeps feeding to Indian moviegoers, so a lot of eyes were raised. However upon its landing, Satyagraha took a fantastic start and collected Rs11.21 cr on its first day at domestic box office, recording best opening day collections ever for Prakash Jha over his last hit ‘Rajneeti’.

Riding fairly on positive word of mouth and good reviews, this Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai starrer Satyagraha shown rapid growth on Saturday and Sunday too and collected Rs13.08 cr and Rs14.83 cr respectively which took its opening weekend collection to a total of Rs39.12 cr. The movie has recorded the fifth highest opening weekend collection for year 2013.

On Monday, the film dropped around 55% from Friday and around 60% from Sunday and collected Rs5.10 cr taking its 4 days collection to Rs44.22 cr at Indian box off

different view
by avinash sharma on Sep 03, 2013 01:16 PM

i think that prakash jha has gone overboard with his similar kind of films over teh years...he has become so predictable...no one wants to see amitabh bacchhan as a school teacher, head master etc...its too much now.
variety is the spice of life. jha makes a similar kind of film everytime , u hv seen one, u hv seen them all. its too much to bear.
by the way any movie is better than garbage like chennaio exprtess or dabang. but then those movies are made for the mindless indian and that is why they are always a hit.
