his bengali songs were brilliant, hindi songs were also very good.his clasical singing style was wonderful.bad luck for him as his contemporary singers were rafi and kishore.his funeral could have been in kolkata where his huge fan were waiting.however it was done in bangalore with meagre 70 people were thre.
With the passing away of Shri Manna Dey, the country has lost a legendary personality in the field of music. He possessed a very strong classical base with beautiful voice. An irreparable loss indeed !
