With the passing away of Shri Manna Dey, the country has lost a legendary personality in the field of music. He possessed a very strong classical base with beautiful voice.
An irreparable loss indeed !

Can't forget your voice and your songs. I saw on Tv a blind man saying " the only purpose of life for me is to be able to listen to your beautiful songs". That speaks of your greatness Mannada. Wish you could go on for ever....

If Manna de contributn to Hindi song was great, imagine to bangla!
I have listened all his bangla songs thousands of times and once at least daily.
If you want to remember any present moment later in life, then listen to a Manna bangla song during the present moment. Later whenever you hear that song again, your mind will flash with those memories, even after many decades. Such is the human mind and Manna songs.
Long live his name and Goud rest his soul.
