I don't expect this movie to be an objective portrayal of Ramanujan's life. Knowing both Raja and the Hassan clan it will end up as a socio-political movie with overtures against a particular community.

aren't there any other actresses in TN?

atheists can never do justice to these characters, because they will never feel the emotions of these characters. Aren't there any actresses with spiritual inclination? the very presence of this atheist spoils the whole plot.

she even commented that, tamil cinemas are more vulgar than any other language cinemas, as the reason to quit tamil film acting. Probably, the director and she would have forgotten it.
The Hassan clan are no doubt atheists and are paying heavily for their act. Her husband has to be searched now.

If she or Kamal's family had declared 'atheism' it may not mean much to their profession. They can connect to the background of the story well.

Genius

Indian society has the uncany knack of being myopic & egoistic to genuises and work hard to bring him down to just a normal citizen by denying any basics in their life. Also Ramanujan's period was our struggle for freedom and the media & local kings (slaves) working to glorify the freedom fighters and other political movements thus overshadowing Ramanujan's genuis. We should be grateful to G.H. Hardy to identify the genius to the world. with 6000 years old history we still cannot identify genuis in our society, such a shameless culture.

Madhavan would not have suited the character even if he had dates. Call the truth, truth.

by Shrasat on Oct 15, 2013 05:58 PM

When she worked so hard to learn those days life...custom and slokas...then why Nail trimming was required in the movie..I think few things actress don't want to compromise on their looks.
