Dr.Raj was some chew-tee-yah from karnataka who people affectionately called annavaru.
Kishore kumar will always be one of the all time great singers of bollywood....he had a golden voice. It is true he was a maveric and bit eccentric but usually artists who are genuious tend to be different than others....For me Mohd Rafi is the best male playbck singer followed by Kishoreda

Rafi was just a singer with beautiful voice..Kishoreda was more than a singer..with his voice coupled with expressions, what came out was much more than a song..

amit kumar was also good once upon a time but he was a flop singer
Kishore was NOT an eccentric person! He was different! he always believed in action and caring for others also he was much self righteous! he never aloowe anyone to brow beat him and manipulate him! So obviously many in the ndustry naver liked it including the Journalists! So press wallahs had to admonish him by keeping him names! He never bothered for such narrow minded approach! he was abig hearted person and always energetic! he was the most artistic and talented person ever to have graced the Film industry in the world!
It is so sad that Amit stopped singing during early 90s. Excellent voice and melody. Roz Roz Ankhon Tale(from jeeva), Is Taraha Aashiqi Ka (Imthian)and hundreds more are so brilliant. He made singing look so effortless! it is so unfortunuate that he does not sing! After Rafi, Kishore's era, Amit was the one who was very promising! I particulary liked the Oodling and a tinge of arrogance in his songs (both mixed) of Amit which is next to none! It is sad, he is not singing! Amit, please, come back to Singing!

There is a new singer - Harshit Saxena who has lots of shades of Kishore Kumar. He already made his mark with a couple of mega hits like Haal e Dil and Mahe Jaan. Hope the industry rcognizes this young and promising lad from Lucknow.

Cross his name instantly. We need fresh talents and not carbon copies, zeroxes, counterfiets etc of Rafi, Kishore, Mukesh etc. Let them be what they were - great.
