Amit has not discussed the RD Burman Cheats that made Kishore Kumar a super hit. The songs from Mere Jeewan Saathis, Apna Desh, Namak Haram, all sped up post recording to match Rafi's great voice (which had no match), Kishore Kumar was a great Singer but sang all those songs to a slow tempo, Will Amit Kumar ever admit this publicly?
guys dont get carried away, kishore is a legend and wonderful singer but Rafi was his legend and guru in many ways. Please keep Rafi out of this discussion. Rafi was supreme in 40, 50, 60 and 70;s while kishore hit the bank in the 70;s.

when Kishore Kumar arrived, Rafi disappeared. No one in the whole wide world had Kishore's versatility. His rendering of comedy songs is supreme. His rendering of sad songs simply lifts it away into another dimension.

mukesh also was good but he had limitations....he could not sing for all actors, but Mohd Rafi and Kishore were very versatile...They both are the greatest singers of India....but for me Mohd Rafi is the best singer...he could sing anything with perfection and his voice used to go very high....Kishore could not sing classical songs or Qawaalis....but still he also is superb.
The only voice which has its unique style and also closest to originality in terms of voice quality is Amit Kumar. A man who I think didn't get his due in the industry....should get more quality lyrics and music to work with. He is also truely immortal...Thanks Amitda.
Many singers copied the songs of KK and became famous just because it reminds kk. Likewise we many fans of kishore would like to see the famous songs of KK sang by his son AMIT kumar. This may change the track of AK as well..... santosh
