Mr. Bachan satisfied his ego by getting that long cherished bit role in a hollywood film.
And the American Indian community found one more little opportunity to try and strut around with one of their icons in a world that by and large ignores them!
He has hardly a role of few seconds in the movie. Dont know, why he had to compromise at this age, considering he is the biggest star of India. He is much better than Caprio in all departments (looks, acting, voice, personality, popularity). He should not do any hollywood movie unless he has a major role in it, like that of Sean Connery for example. Our stars/celeberaties/leaders always kow-tow to the WEST... no matter how confident they appear inside India, they are totally taken-in by the Westerners.... WHAT A SHAME !!!

He did not do this for money or any other benefit. The director of the movie is his friend and he did this as a goodwill gesture on the request of director. He wrote about this long back in his blog!

Amitabh is very frustrated by now coz his son couldn't do well, neither his daughter-in-law so just to prove that he can still work in foreign cinema like other actor from India he does this clip role. O bye the way he was marketed by Aishwarya herself.

Shafique khan, you know Bacchan and his frustrations, their families marketing strategies etc etc so closely and clearly. Looks like you meet him on daily basis.... See yourself first before commenting on Amitabh Bacchan and his achievements..

Regardless of all that, Mr. Bachan sure would have moved heaven and earth (in his own little way) to get that bit role!
And Mr. Caprio might still struggle to recognise Mr.Bachan!

he hardly has any role. for them, he is just an extra. maybe he had to arrange his own ticket/visa to go to the premierre
