Being the chairman of Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation how can you advocate punishment for someone who calls for leniency and compassion towards a beleaguered person?? Ha, Irony at its best!!!
showing leniency to sanjay won't be a great disaster for Indian judiciary.. don't forget that he provided every bit of evidence against himself..
It may be true that he committed some mistakes, but he is a reformed man now and has suffered a lot. Moreover his family had to suffer a lot for protecting the innocent Muslims from the hands of Shiv sainiks during 1993 Bombay riots..
He had to procure an assault rifle for self-protection and for his family's protection. And he never used it. This is the only charge against him. Just because law says the punishment for such an offense is 5 years he is due to suffer even after passing through a mental agony of 20 years and having been in jail for almost 2 years.
His case can be seen as an exception.. even Justice Markhandey Khatju (rtd. judge of supreme court) called for his pardon.
His being a celebrity shouldn't be a constraint for a pardon which he otherwise would have deserved.
I think his case is a genuine one unlike the cases of Salman Khan or Shiney Ahuja..
Had Mr. Mohan Lal called for leniency to Salman or Shiney it would have been a really condemnable thing but in this case Mohan Lal is absolutely right.. Show some mercy to a reformed man. It will only augment the virtue of Indian Judiciary.

Totally agree with you... I am sure if Mahatma Gandhi were alive today, he would have also similar views as what Mohanlal had...

Mohanlal just supported his friend...doesn't need to make such an issue...many has already supported Sanjay.

Fahad outshone Mohanlal

Fahad outshone Mohanlal wow that was the comedy of the century.Except fahads character alla other characters were poorly written and Mohanlal was roped in for a role which he didnt had to act at all.The role was actually of no challenge to a actor like lal.Actually that role was suited for lesser known star.Mohanlal was chosen only to to market it as his movie and get some initial collection, but audience immediately knew the cheap trick and movie fell from first day itself.Fahad has performed his role superbly but dont make such ridiculous and silly comments
