Rediff could manage to compile 10 Saree moments. It would have been much easier for Rediff had they worked on Sorry moments. :)

Female protection
by Soumitra Goswami on Mar 25, 2013 11:38 AM  | Hide replies

Showing skin and playing with male titilation show girls want to come in lime light. At the same time they want protection by law. It is just like love for strays provoing them with scanty food. What do you expect mad bite. There is nobody to ask the ladies dress the way you like but not to provoke like Poonam Pandey, Bipasa Basu etc. Feeling proud being woman is not dareing to bare. Show material where you urge respect and love. Crime with ladies will drastically reduce. Politicians will all such stupidty to their cause. So show live and let the male also live.

Sorry Soumitra, this will only change the day when men don't get horny looking at women (who in many cases are already fully dressed). Just look around you and you will find the blame lies squarely on men like you and me. Poonam Pandey and other sirens exist because there is a market for them.

The day women cease to be just sex objects, you will see even a naked woman as just a woman. Why can't a woman walk naked without being molested through the streets of India? Sadhus do it and people fall at their feet? Why do women have to bear the brunt of upholding culture? It is not incumbent on women to preserve their modesty. Men are the ones who decide what is modest and what is not, because they are not able to control their desires. It therefore falls upon men, to decide how they want to treat women.

This treatment of women is carried by our countrymen far from the shores of our country even into other countries, and Indians are known to be docile, but no one knows why Indian men are always staring at other women, when they can just walk up and talk to them gracefully.

I salute you man. I do hope and beseech that our so called countrymen learn from you and look at women from a different perspective altogether. You have proved yourself to be a true patriot of this motherland that worships goddesses in the true sense. A nation that cannot protect and respect its women is a disgrace to mankind. Men are the hungry, lustful, perverted creatures here who intentionally portray women in poor light simply to shield their carnal desires. I have never heard naked men being attacked by women...Prashanth, I feel the upbringing of children with the right moral values has a huge role to play on eliminating the chauvinistic thoughts of men in this era. Women have the right to choose...period. Men cannot force themselves upon women.

Are you comparing human beings to stray dogs...then why are we called human being...One should learn to control emotions. Wearing scanty clothes is no invitation to strangers.

I am sorry that you misunderstood me. Those who become animal seeing ladies are animal, no need to compare. Only those who want to avoid their bite should see is it worth to tickle with them.

I am sincerely sorry for the poor drafting, that may be another reason for misunderstanding me. I am also like you who want girls should be treated as normal human being as possible. Only request them to also understand their resposibilty on sailing through such savaged world.
