Spielberg made some great movies... I agree that he is a great movie maker. But I was disappointed after watching "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom". This movie was banned in India. He showed Indian and Indian culture in a very ugly and untrue manner. For instance, he showed as if Indians favorite food be monkey brain, Indians feed on insects, employee child labor etc. I have seen quite a few big directors show this ugly picture of India to make their movies work in the west. Slumdog millionare, directed by Danny Boyle is one such movie where India is shown as a sihthole...
That is the only complain I have against Speilberg. Other than that his movies are good for the most part.

India is an ideal location for making poverty p_o_r_n_o_g_r_a_p_h_y!
White people love to view our misery and thank their lucky stars that they did not have to deal with p1mp leaders like Nehru and Gandhi when their nations were established!
What is even more sad is that Indian media and many Indian elite mistake this pity for appreciation and go overboard when dealing with white people!

ITS A WHITE MAN WHO MADE A MOVIE ON 'GANDHI' AND IT WON OSCARS AND APPRECIATION FROM ALL INCLUDING SPEILBERG. MAHATMA GANDHI IS AS MUCH REVERED IN WESTERN WORLD AS IN INDIA.

Temple of Doom shot in srilanka and not in India, it showed about the tribal regions and not rural India.
