I am not sure about Himmatwala, but I can gurantee that remake of Zanjeer will be a flop. Only one person can match or top Amitabh and "woh hai khud Amitabh".
We all saw the remake of Agneepath.....it was pathetic compare to the original...
If the directors have real gutts they should make remake of those good movies which did not become a hit because may be they were too ahead of its time or because of a weak starcast.....they should find those kind of movies and remake those.......but I guess everyone is looking for shortcuts nowadays.

I thought "remakes" are happening only in Kannada (to a dangerous extent) industry. Looks like bollywood has caught this disease off late. Names of new movies being made in Kannada have words used by uneducated/uncultured rowdys
Amitabh is Amitabh. Nobody can ape him. His active is above every thing. And this Teja far from his nail. He can not do what Amitabh did in original one.
Not that the original was a cinematic gem, but the new version could have done well with somebody instead of A J Dave Gun who looks like a municipal street cleaner!
