Human being is ultimately an animal. We become humans through training which is nothing but a learning or way of life that has evolved and carried forward from our ancestors. This training to survive and lead the life we want, comes through various means, say, via parents, society, formal education, books, movies, internet, TV etc. I believe that people who committ suicide because of circumstances have faulty training somewhere in the course of their lives. People suffer with poverty, get raped, get assaulted & attacked, suffer with diseases like cancer, heart attack, stroke or get jailed like Sanjay Dutt, but they do not give up their lives. They fight with life with full vigour till the last drop of blood in their bodies like Abhimanyu in this battle of life. If human speicies is such a cowardice genetically, it would not have survived and reached this stage of evolution process. It is not the question of teaching our society to not put pressure on people by various means but it is the question of teaching people to survive the pressure. Life is cruel for some, you got to fight back till you breath your last. Giving up is not in our genes. If it were, we wouldn't have been where we are today!!!

Anyway, since you didn't share your contact information, I'll provide more insight into this topic here itself. Though we all share more or less same genetic material then why is that the quality of resilience or the ability to not give up on life is enhanced in certain individuals while it is subdued in others. The reason is two fold - one is that the training in the form of education and challenges each one of us get to confront is not same. The other reason being though we all share more or less same genetic material, sometimes the slight variations in the genes really makes a very significant difference. This could be as significant as being a winner versus being a loser. This is exactly same reason as to why all the siblings are not same even though they share very close genetic material. Since, we can't do anything with the genetic material of each of us, we should focus on doling out proper training to our kids in order to thwart the Jia khan kind of suicide incidents. Let us focus on giving good training to our kids through parents, society, movies, biographies of winners, heroic tales of people like Abhimanyu etc and etc.

Thanks! I know you guys are very busy and your time is extremely valuable but you still spent time in reading my inane ramblings and I appreciate you for that. If rediff needs help with backup, deduplication, encryption, whitelisting in addition to archiving I can volunteer for that. I have no qualms in helping out organizations to fortify or cleanse their internal systems. I understand that due to lack of sufficient funds they have to hire unskilled labour to run their organization due to which things run in rather unexpected directions.

She should have checked the background before hooking up. When the guys father is himself a big woman-o-horlic & the way he tried to spoile the life of Kangana R, so it was expected from this son. But Jia should not have ended her life like this. She should have been bold enough to give a BIG SLAP to that guy in front of the whole public & should have moved ahead in her life. Poor thing.

Simple. Majority may or may not agree because he is a hero. And, heroes never committ suicide. They fight back and they deal with the situation. They don't show their back to life. That said, Sanjay was wrong if he had really kept the weapon to kill someone and not for defending himself if he is attacked.
May sound harsh , but not having a dad she may not have had a male presence in her life to give her strength .
Its tough, but some male like her moms brother or someone like that should have given her a fatherly love. I think a child needs a dad and mom as much as possible and if not they need an influence from someone to play that role. Someone should ahve stepped in Bollywood an dplayed that role for her.

It is true. This world is very cruel for some. There is no need to teach the world to not put pressure on people. Instead, we should teach people to survive the pressure and lead the life. Giving up life is not an option for a real human because it is not encoded in our genes. If it were, we wouldn't have been where we are today!!! This is what we have to teach our kids.

Depression is a silent killer. They isolate first and without open communication the mental wounds are difficult to heal.
This is where there are newer medicines that will let them rest, open-up and allow to be involved in talk therapy.
Sometimes a girl may need a uncle or aunt than a mother to talk about her perceived failures in life.
