People do committ suicides for various reasons. But, it is difficult to digest when it is committed by reasonably educated and knowledgeable people. Most of our school education lays emphasis on character building which is far more important than the higher education which we would get in later part of our lives. People with strong character do not give in to situations, circumstances, instead they fight back. Also, people should understand that success never should be viewed in absolute manner. It should be looked at in the background of the individual's personal circumstances. If Jia were not getting roles in movies she could have done something else with her life. For Godsake she was only 25. We see poor people begging on the streets but all of them do not committ suicide because of their penury. People overlook, look down upon and even ridicule the importance of philosophical education via biographies, poems and heroic stories, but they are the most important aspects which actually give you all the strength in times of depression, desperation and when your courage is under fire. I wish at least parents should impart the bravery to with stands the challenges of life. RIP - Jia.
It is so sad. She had everything. She might had severe depression and agony which might led to such a step. But this is a warning signal. Our society should be ready to face the epidemic of suicide if we don't understand the need to thwart such epidemic by taking preventive steps.
Its not to show any disrespect to any one But you take Any Senior actors Be it Amitabh Bachan, Dharmendra and others I have never heard them recommending any one rather spent their life for themselves and now busy with theIr Children's career They have never thought about anyone's career outside their Family. Rather Mr Bacchan seems only interested in Projecting States definitely for some cost or busy doing movies or doing ads but hardly heard about him indulging in Charity... Its not a complain but a reality of life as We expect too much from them but in reality they are as normal as us as even after reaching in Fame and fortune they still want more.

Why do you expect more from them? Why do they owe anybody anything?
If you are concerned about other people's careers in the film industry, why don't you take all your money and pump it into a film and help these actors?

If you can't make it on your own in a particular profession, chose another. There are many out there. Why blame someone else for your own failure.
Or she could have married a common man and settle down as a housewife. Not a big deal.

What I meant was Why people are trying to show their Sympathies now when these So called Bigger could have helped her either by providing guidance or otherwise. Me and you are outsider but people in the same profession can or should try to Empathize to address the issue or problem.

I understand, but it's always 20/20 vision. You will know what to do after the fact, not before. Who would have predicted Jiah will take her life and more importantly, should someone help someone because you think they will take their life?

Buddy Help does not always mean giving job or resurrecting someone's career it's about but its about making them feel wanted. Only small gestures can do that and here I meant Murkiness and all the selfish thing surrounding this industry.

If you need help then tell me then will see how can I can help you then as far as you are concerned It seems you are also in that stage where you yourself need help but you can not help any one and If that is not the case Pls stop pretending to be Human as all traits you display have displayed resembles some socially ostracized Animal.

Ok I got it Now I never meant it that way Help is only action done to address the need of someone in distress It never signifies Upper or Lower. Pls If you can not contribute then Pls do not be hypocrite also. Pls say that Currently you are unable to help anyone may thats is your improvement area but You cannot take away the right and Justified way of thinking.

i never uttered the word "confidence". Its the society that makes one depressed and than pretends to help... Most of the problems in an individuals life are generated by society.. We do not accept ones individuality and want everybody to be same... someone who thinks diffy erently is looked down upon by a bunch of so called moral people. Failure is a term generated by your society who believes in competition.

Agree with you... Try to be independent. Nobody will and should help others. You make your own life by making your own choices. YOu have come into this world singly and will leave singly. There are somethings that cannot even be helped. It is very unfortunate that Jiah is no more with us. But the onus is not on big stars to reach out to young struggling stars, but end of the day it is your own responsibility whether you struggle for more time in the same career, or take up something new or even settle down as a housewife. Close friends and family have some responsibility to keep the spirits of the person high, but in the end it is your life.

The issue is not with anyone but with Jia herself. If someone is ruining her career with viciousness then it would have been different. Here, she is not getting opportunities. It is just the case of "survival of the fittest". Only if she had the courage to accept her failure in movies and moved onto some other aspects of film making or to some other profession. There is no real reason here to blame anyone. If Mr. Bachan is deliberately preventing Jia from getting roles then we would have inflicted blame upon Bachan. Anyway, RIP Jia. It is an eye opener and a warning bell for all the future aspirants of the stardom to keep the backups to rely upon if their dreams were not to be realized.
