Bcoz his range is limited and stuck to same action hero image for 30 years. Except for Raajkumar Santoshi movies (Ghayal, Ghatak and Daamini) he played same character. Dacait and Yateem were too similar. Dont know why he did Yateem (1989) when Dacait (1987) was already a flop.

His contemprories like Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt are more talented and they tried different roles and they survived. Imagine Sunny as Munnabhai or Eswar. He can not act but shout and scream and fight.

Can his contemprories Anil Kapoor & Sanjay Dutt ever give a Ghayal, a Ghatak or even a Border in their lifetime.
Sunny outperformed Anil Kapoor in Ramavtar & Joshilay. When Anil Kapoor does action it seems as if a lady is fighting.. And never ever compare Sunny with a gunda like Sanjay Dutt who has been banned by the law & put behind the bars..

This is what.. he is a fighter and not an actor While Anil Kapoor, Jackie shroff are actors. at this age and even after 30 yrs in industry he needs Dharmendra support. Nobody signs him as a hero.

A hero is recognised by action & not by only acting..A macho man is a true hero, which my hero Sunny is..Other actors try to do versatile roles coz they can never in their lives reach to the action credentials that Sunny has displayed in his movies..

Who signs Anil Kapoor & Jackie Shroff as hero these days?? Anil Kapoor is the worst actor I've ever seen in bollywood. A sheer joker & Jackie Shroff is finished.. And who said you Sunny needs his father at this age. It should be the reverse, his father needs Sunny these days..YPD was a hit only bcoz of Sunny & not bcoz of Dharam or Bobby. Just come out of this jealousy towards bollywood's greatest action hero..

It was a hit..You don't know anything but to abuse Sunny.That's bcoz you are so much jealous of his achievements. Dacait was released in 1987, and alongwith it Dharmendra's Hukumat too was released..Dacait could have been a superhit but had fierce competition with Hukumat, coz it got a better response..Hukumat became superhit whereas dacait ended up with a hit..

As an actor, he portrayed rage best. Amitabh's anger was understated, but Sunny Deol's was raw rage. The scene in Ghatak where he puts a collar on the villain gave goosebumps. Between them, Bacchan and Deol portrayed anger in 2 different ways, and it worked.

Even Samunder(1986) was good but it was ahead of it's time with breath taking cinematrography of Maldives and excellent music by R D Burman hence it didnt work.
