Balan,

Leave it to the heavens to decide.

Don't be judgemental about others.

Be wise.

S M,

If the person had be sleeping or fainted in the middle of the road this whole incident would have been termed "an accident".

The guy was sleeping in the footpath and was run over by car. Wonder why this is not termed an accident.

Footpath is also an unusual place to sleep. There is always a risk of being run over by a car.

Again wonder why the media is calling Salmon as a murderer?

This is what I meant by saying "Be Wise, not judgemental." There can be multiple perceptions of the same incident each giving a different perspective of the subject involved in the incident.

it would have been termed a culpable homicide not amounting to murder even if a drunk man under the influence of alcohol had crushed a person sleeping in the middle of the road

Interesting considering the fact that both road and footpath are not meant for sleeping.

Ravi...I agree that its a shame the country is still in a position where people have to sleep on footpath...but its also the resposibility of the educated and mainly celebrities to behave. Drink and Driving is against law. If you kill under influence he is eligible for 10 year jail.

Looks like in your point of view...people sleeping on footpath are nothing but rodents and can be crushed by a car.

If salman was brought to swift justice within few weeks or months...lot of peopole could have restrained from driving under influence.

His offence I guess was Reckless Driving. Whatever it is the court will decide and mind you there are several other severe cases that is played down thus goes unheard.

Paswan... why Salman has to hang to death.... it was an accident.. he didn't kill the people intentionally.... stop having hatred in mind.... it is dangerous... let court decide as per the rule book....

if its an accident by a normal person...they get 6 months jail and rs.2000 fine as per IPC.

But if you are drunk and involved in an accident..thats severe....Second, if you are involved in an accident and ran away from the scene....you may get more years.

So it is the law...that is going to put him behind bars.

It should be read as when the similar cases of Alistair Pereira, US national Ms. Havewala, and Pune AST driver which happened much later were decided within the record time, Why the older case involving Salman Khan has not even reache the trial stage even after 11 years ?
