My colleagues from South India say that actresses from other parts of India who come to work in South Indian cinema have to do intimate favors for top, influential people in South India to get leading roles in South Indian movies!

Ridiculous theory. As a south indian I have never heard of such a thing.
No actress is discriminated against in south india. Many competent actresses from other parts of India has acted over there without any issues and made truckloads of money.
This however reminds me of the Shakti Kapoor sting operation in bollywood where he revealed all bollywood actresses have to do special favours for the producers to get an opportunity to act. Disgusting.

Yes True. Especially Telugu film industry. Balayya, Pawan, Mohan Babu, NTR, Allu Aravind etc need many flavours. I am not sure about Chiranjeevi.

Based on an industry insider, the casting couch is rampant in Tollywood. Studioheads, top stars and directors are asking for flavours regularly. This is common knowledge in hyderabad
