As long as you are not harming physically anyone else it is ok. I regret not sliting my wrist when it was the right time. And now just watch movie to relive the moments.

You are right. It happened recently in a small town. One guy after seeing the flick cut his wrist and is lying in hospital, due to the fact that he was spurned by his girl friend.

Everybody has the right to love as this is a self less feeling which overwhelms you by overriding all possible logical barriers. However so long love does not demand anything or expects anything that is the true love. If it is reciprocated from other end naturally and willingly it is fulfilled. But if that is not the case then it is called one side sacrificed love. One thing I found strange in movie that even if girl does not love the boy she still knows very well that the boy is just madly in love with her to hysterical level. Then why she approaches him all the time asking help to get her out of the personal situation in life. Is this not unfair on part of Girl? Should not she discourage this completely? Is she not fanning the fire and putting both of them in a more troublesome situation?

shobhaa de is jealous of sonam kapoor's character in the movie since she is so ugly that no man has ever stalked her

asha ji, u say she should be in sync with times. does that mean stalking and harassing women is in vogue and we should allow it, and when the woman says NO, the men should construe it as a YES. may i request you to not get personal with Shoba de. it was a well thought out article and just becoz most people dont like her, we cannot discard certain good things she would wish to convey thru her articles.

Not acceptable.
by Rajesh Kumar on Jul 05, 2013 11:27 AM  | Hide replies

The chasing girl, talking prank, using absurd language, doing love in rickshawala manner is something not acceptable.

Here girl has been shown as villain.

Every girl has right to say no. And does not like interference from no matter how much someone loves her.

This way any monkey will run after your dauther and interfere in her life and we will have sympathy for the monkey.

I hope the love shown is not of good taste and such films should not even pass sensor.

As for as director saying its his way of loving. He is talking nonsense. In a society you can not have everything your own way.
Otherwise somebody will say rape is my way of love.

very well said Rajesh. What surprises me is that most of the feedback in this forum are in support of stalking and harassment, and it does seem that their personal opinions and judgements about Shoba de has masked all logic in their thinking. These are indeed sad times that today love is totally perverted and twisted.

U r abs right!!Those who have a family with sisters and daughters will never accept this..Only those faltu youth stalking the streets for anything wrapped in a saree or dupatta wil like these..
For Dhanush it is his regular cup of tea as in every film he is the beggar behind a dumb girl who will finally fall for her even if he has r*p*d here..
With the hopeless man:woman ratio the majority of the Indians fall into the faltu stalking d*g category - curse on India indeed

I dont think its youth stalking, Kundan loves Zoya from childhood. His love for her is pure and absolute, Zoya knows it, for all absurd circumstances she comes to Kundan for help and he helps him, sometimes even sacrificing his own comfort.. he has not known any thing but to love her.. love is different from stalking... and the movie rightly potrays that... please don't mix the two

What do you want, a rikshawala to come in coat and tie, if he is in love, well if the girl is able to hug the rikshawala with her eyes closed, then I guess you should stop questioning it

Strange love us Indians follow
by Aditya Venkat on Jul 05, 2013 10:56 AM

I am not a fan of Shoba De, but i totally agree with her. Under the current circumstances, namely the safety and security of Indian women, this film only reinforces the belief that in order to get a woman one needs to harass her and stalk her. Taking this logic further, being Indians and hypocrites therefore, we also endorse ra pe as this is the only means to get the woman into bed when she does not consent. For all those who think this is a love story, i can only feel sorry for their mindset. We need to evolve as human beings and truly civilize ourselves. I think the pace of the film and direction are brilliant, but the story line is really warped. I wont call this a love story, more like the story of a psycho stalker who cant take NO for an answer. Good luck to those who think love is all about forcing onself on another ..
