Kadal is not a bad movie its worth a watch in fact some of the scenes are brilliantly shot...only drawback dont go with huge expectations considering its a Manirathnam film...
off late his trilingual movies are not that great as he could not satisfy both audience. Good to see he is making this movie in Telugu and Tamil only. Hope he does'nt use caste names in his movies. And his song coreography is different this time - otherwise group of men wihtout shirt jumping for drums beat is kind of boring to see.

Everyone has an opinion but you do not need to be racist by calling Mani Kaale Chickne. Grow up and smell the roses or is it that you were dropped on your head by your parents???

Man...Veera's quick (mis)interpretation of Kaale Chickne's comment and Pravin's reply had me in splits...wow, is Veera PC or what? I signed up on Rediff today just to post this...thanks for the laughs Veera! I loved it...
When he makes local movies, and later realise(come to know) it was taken by a foreign language film(sorry inspired) Now, he says the subject is universal, so we have to search for universal sea shore oriented movies..for where he got the inspiration
But, giving it the Indian flavour he masters.
So we have to see what/where is the UNIVERSAL STORY from.

thetory is taken from on the water front movie, But surely masters in directing movies because many peoplein indian films are inspiring hollywood movies but the acheivement he made is remarkable
