These awards carried a lot of meaning at one point till a man named SRK. I guess he bought all awards. That could be the reason why all awards especially Filmfare lost its credibility. People like Amir Khan and Salman Khan completely boycotted them. It was the awards who were loosers not them.
He has hit the nail on the head, awards and there are a plethora of them are meant to make the film industry happy and do not reflect the real reaction of the paying public.
I mean come to think of it, these are awards are managed, engineered and awarded within approximately 100 square kilometers of Punjab starting from Makhna and ending at Soniye!!! since the entire industry (Hindi industry) hails from only here....
