You are the people who flock in lacs to give their movies 100 crores. And they celebrate with your money. Now why whine and complain. Everybody celebrates their birthday specially and spend a little more than they spend daily. Even a poor person spends a little extra.
If you are so much bothered about it then stop watching all the movies and stop giving them your hard earned money. They will start celebrating more modestly.
