I accept that no two people can match their choices exactly, having said that I find half of the choice is excusable. Such glaring omissions like "Rimzhim Gire Saawan","Ek chatur naar", "Kitana pyara waada"are not understandable. Take a single track "Jaane jaan dhoondata hi raha" from Jawani Diwani .... this song has all the characteristics of RD ... Voice Modulation, Scale modulation ... and melody. I can give "Grammy Award" for this single composition ..... I would have selected this song in any playlist even if RD would have retired after composing this single song .... It is such a signature song. But as admitted ... choices may differ!!
It is indeed true that R d Burman,Kishore Da & Ashaji had given best of meloidious songs which are rare to be found this days. That is why it is said OLD IS GOLD

This is because RD was unwell during 80s. He had first heart attack in 1985 followed by two more and than he went for bypass surgery to London. LP and BL gave junnk music during 80s. Because RD was not doing well all his permanent banners shifted to LP or BL

Raj: You are nothing but a jackass, who doesn't have any knowledge or ear for music. Pls don't create unnecessary arguments or statements regarding which u dont have any idea. RD is a trendsetter and BAAP of all composers. Even today 1000 of singers and composers like Pritom or Jeet is earing their bread & butter following him. Understood? So go and eat some bullshit, which you truly deserve.
It is opinion of people that RD's music was lifted from English, Telugu or Tamil numbers and were not original. Anyway the selections are good for the ears.
