Grandmaster was a bad movie with an excellent performance by Mohanlal. But then you cannot fault his performance even in the substandard Karmayodha. Movie is bad but Mohanlals furious perfomance is top notch. Spirit was the movie where direction, sript and acting all came together beautifully.Run Babby Run was a good rehash of earlier Joshi Hits nothing more.Pairing with Amala Paul did not work
How come Spirit or Grandmaster and Ayalum Njanum Thammil is not included? The latter i thought was one of the best reviewed film on the year. Second show or diamond necklace should have been omited

I was waiting for the top 5 Malayalam movies for a long time especially since i could see Tamil, Telugu and Kannada had come a long time ago.. and moreover this year seems to be so good for the Malayalam movie fans like me..felt like we are going back to the golden age (1982 to 1995)

Problem was there were not enough movies in previous years to fill the top 5 list
