I have seen SLP ... and even I was wondering ... how ... why? Jennifer did a good job ... but Oscar worthy ... I doubt it.
disappointed with the best actress award as both Emanuelle Riva & Walis were phenomenal in brilliant Amour & Beasts of the southern Wild respectively... Both of them deserved it specially 85yrs old Riva..
Coming to Best actor Phoenix was equally good as Daniel day Lewis..So choice was difficult i guess :)
In adapted screenplay category Moonrise Kingdom was far better than Argo...
The current movies are far better than Slumdog Millionaire. I still can't see what there is in SDM to merit so many Oscars! Especially, A R Rahman. He is not fit even to merit a small, consolation prize, let alone a Dadasaheb Palke. He was paid a whopping Rs.15 crores for lacklustre music for the Commonwealth Games event. I think SDM clicked because the movie cast India in a poor light, and those jealous of our achievements and progress influenced the decision
