Don't underate Abhishek
by Jomesh George on Dec 19, 2013 06:03 PM  | Hide replies

It is not good to underrate an actor like Abhishek. He has given hits his own like Bunty aur Babli,Dostana, shown his acting skills in Guru and was part of blockbusters like Dhoom series.Like every other star he has his own limitations. It is a common truth that sons of legends who try their fortune in their father's field never can succeed like their father.Examples are Sons of Gavaskar, film stars like Jeetendra,Raj Kumar,Rajendra Kumar.Even Sanjay Dutt who had a sucessful film career involved in so many controversies and spoiled his father's image.Atleast Abhishek is better in that aspect.`

increasingly I feel that Dhoom 3 would borrow heavily from the story line of Now you see me! (magician, father, revenge, robbery, action sequences)

Until protection of intellectual property rights was not enforced in India, Bollywood movie makers "borrowed" generously from other film industries around the world free of any charge!

Bollywood is run by Punjabi people who are low on both ethics and originality!

"For me, cinema should have an emotional connect and should entertain people". I guess he read it somewhere. other than that, the whole interview was like he is fed up and frustrated before he is just a so called lead but AAMIR is the real boss.

Abhishek where is your sense of Reality
by Priya Rangarajan on Dec 18, 2013 06:53 PM  | Hide replies

You can't act
You can't dance
You can't deliver dialogues with a good modulation
Dhoom 1 ran because for some reason you are better than Expressionless John Abraham which he more than covers with his top half
Dhoom 2 ran because Hrithik did everything while you stood like a Bhaiyaaji
Dhoom 3 will run because Aamir is a brand on his own.

Please stop talking

YOU STOP TALKING Priya.
Abhishekh can act and already got lot of awards.
He has danced better than the Khans in B&B, JBJ, etc.
Watch his 5 minute dialouge in GURU.
So just keep quite.
If you have hatred about somebody, no matter what he does you will hate him.
Get a life.

Abhishek's attitude is very churlish.

He knows he is a bad actor but does not want to admit it!

He knows this movie will be a hit because of Aamir and not because of him!

He is acting very petty by saying such things about Aamir!

He should come to terms with reality and quit acting now!

He has achieved a lot by convincing the top actress of her generation to marry him and bear his child!

Abhishek should concentrate on his dairy business like a good native of UP and stay out of the limelight!

Corner,

I did read the article and what I inferred from it was that Abhishek is trying say that Brand Dhoom is bigger than the actors who act in it!

This is nothing but an indirect way of insulting Aamir, an actor who is more accomplished and more successful than Abhishek whose only big achievement is marrying Ash after conning her away from TWO boyfriends!

If you can't see this obvious jab, you are having trouble letting go of your gullibility and naivete!

Reporter to Abhishek: What does Dhoom mean to you??
Abhishek Replies: "Dhoom" for me means its a scheme under "Rajiv Gandhi Rojgar Yojna" through which me and Uday chopra get a chance to work in movies like dhoom and though being called as Hero of movie, people like villain always.

A movie banks on its stars too....It is like saying THE GODFATHER would still be great without Marlon Brando...OR Al Pacino. Abishek should feel lucky to to be in the series.

Rediff is expert giving misleading titles such as 'My father thought I am an idiot : Uday Chopra' or 'I am not a superstar : saif'. Now they have twisted Abhishek statement and put it as title here.
