Good movie and animation.. can watch the movie once with kids.. only problem is priyanka chopra's voice.. it sounds like a constipatedpig..everybody know she overacts but here even the plane for which she gave voice also overacts..if they avoided that piggy in the movie, it must have become a superhit..
Ok..I will keep it short and sweet!!! Things that work for Planes: 1. Great Animation- actually it is at par with cars. 2. Great characters- you actually believe in Duster, Skipper, Ripslinger. 3. Ishani- made me feel proud!! Actually Piggy Chopra's voice rocks. Taj Mahal's depiction is wonderful. (My kids actually said they wanted to go and see it, after they saw the film)
Things that don't work: 1. Storyline is weak and predictable, like as it is seen and heard before!!
2. The climax of the race is abrupt, very abrupt.
3. It doesn't pack the punch as Cars did!!
Overall, kids will most certainly enjoy the film, and it is worth a watch once if you were/are a cars fan.
Enjoy Rating: I give this fim 3/5 Planes....
Caution: Do not expect a Kung Fu Panda, Finding Nemo, or Madagascar like fun though!!
Is this what Indian mentality has come down to, only movies like Chennai Express or dabaang, which have no sense what so ever get a good review. I live in Canada, and planes was a big hit, a good family movies that kids can watch, and funny. I don't think the graphics are bad; and it was a good depiction of taj mahal, for the world of cars. Parents in India are harming kids anyway by letting them watch mainstream cinema and nonsense TV.
