Unfortunately True, since such a dump movie makes so musch money in just few days its good for the film industryThen what will happen when good movies release. CE is not worth a watch. watched it only yesterday. 3500 screens no other good movie releasing for the next 3 weeks. well planned. But ones feels if these movies are massive hits and such movies are taken ofter film industry will be a loser :(

This is very nice movie. This is the autobiography of the great player. By such movies young generation is getting inspiration. So, in my opinion this is very nice movie, by such movies people can learn and people should know about the great players like Milkha Singh.
I think nasha is a third class movie. Our censor board will not allowed for such movie. What the director want to show, nobody understands, except velgarity nothing else. So, such films will not be released, govt. will not give permission for such movies.
100 crores..?? thats like 16-17 million USD.. Top Hollywood movie have budget between 150-200 millions USD and some of them have crossed 1 Billion dollars already worldwide.. so, what's the big deal !!!
SRK good time started trickling in mid 2012 when his team won the IPL. From 2008 to 2012, SRK was going through Saturn in his zodiac which was giving him bad time with all controversies and competitors against him personally.
2012 onwards, his team won IPL, 2013 his movie is going to break 200 crores, 2014 his movie will break the 300 crore benchmark with HNY.
Either Mr Vinod Mirani is a fool or he is fooling others by saying that movies like d day, ramaiya vastavaiya and lootera are flops because they are proven hits. I think he is not analysing movies only promoting them by taking money.
1. No major films running since last 1 month, so hunger for new release was in air
2, SRK made sure OUTIM2 didnt get theatres, so it back stepped to next week. So no competetion
3. Heavy media propaganda of all sorts. SRK usually spends 50% of overall budget for media hype.
4. Its Eid and long weekend time, so any big actor picture might cross 100cr. So success is half won even before release with all above factors.
But only worrying factor was SRK's own flop shows oflate, but then she got lucky mascot Dips and RS by his side. So 150Cr possible finally.
But if we club even medicinal sales(zandu balm, amrutanjan, anacin etc) nearby theatres then it would have cross 150Cr already....:)
SRK was badly in need of a success. In his desperation, he even stalled OUTIM2 also successfully and proceeded with never before media propaganda over his film for last 6 months.
RS on his part appeared on every available taboloids to say SRK is his godfather etc.. Deepika claiming SRK will kiss her day in day out, to prop some hysteria of some kind in mall culture. Finally, released the film during Eid weekend only to rake up 100cr in first week. Plan executed perfectly.
I hope this would cross 150cr and bring SRK into this club as well. But having watched the film, I felt the need of painkillers with in 30mins into the film. But 100cr is what matter us all, eod

too much eassy,theory,phd on SRK:).. Ultimate result is SRK rocked like king ..just doing 1 masala movie in last 5 years. (Not like Salman who does all masala movies). ..OUTIM2 backtracked due to they also love their money :))

@Sanjana, try to understand the facts. They are talking about new record but not comparing ticket rates with those movies. Also this movie was released with 3800 prints allover during long weekend. That too with increased rates. obviously it will make profit. They made sure that OUTIM2 release is delayed so they will get max number of cinema halls.

If 100 crores was benchmark in 2011 with ticket rate 180, it should be 300 crores with 350 Rs ticket
A film comes good when it makes 100 crores in 40-50 days ..that means picture is hit..and also people like that film...and it become hit by mouth publicity not like this...overhype and all ....During holidays 100000 students went for some entertainment and during that time they just visited some theaters thats all...but lets see in coming days.....any way best of luck...can this film ever overcome sholay film..there are lot more films like that ...
