Indian misery

Most Indians lead miserable frustrated lives. So a 3 hour escape into fantasy land, however brain-dead, is always welcome.

Mr Shetty,

Perhaps unknowingly you have insulted common people of our country. Are common people who watches your films not intelligent or don't have intellectual substance in them?

Intellectual films are the index of a nation's development...
by abhimanyu on Aug 09, 2013 03:53 PM  | Hide replies

Intellectual films are the index of a nation's social and economic development.

Japanese film maker Akira Kurosowa's intellectual films have been considered as the best films the world has ever seen.

Steven Spielberg and George Lucas themselves produced his films and acknowledged their indebtedness to him.

It is the man of brain that succeeds in this world, and hence every resource should be used to hasten the intellectual development of man and society.

However most films in India are used as a means for the mental retardation of man and society ,encourage cheap consumerism and materialistic tendencies, and dehumanisation of women and children.

Very Well said..In the name of "entertainment" and "liberal mind", women are stripped almost naked. Heoes indulge in cheap antics and as this is increasingly become prevalent the wrong, because "everybody is doing it" , has become right...

Women are not stripped by any body;they do it themselves for the sake of cash involved in it and sexually frustrated men derive the satisfaction just by ogling at them.

What Shetty is saying is in essence what Katju

said long back.ie. 90% Indians are idiots .
