Dear Balan, all, Let us not fool ourselves into believeing that every movie coming out of Telugu/Tamil are world class. All of know the kind of movies that are made in other languages including much patronised Bollywood. Without sounding linguistically biased, let us accept that movie watching class is larger among other languages compared to Kannada. Another angle to it is that Kannadigas by and large don't watch movies if there isn't quality content. It is not also true that we haven't had good Kannada moves in the recent past. There have been many. Just to name a few that I can remember on top of my mind; Life Ishtene, Simple aagond love story, Sangolli Rayanna, Super, Apta mitra, Milana, Charminar, Drama, etc etc. None of them are remakes.
This is a good attempt by Pawan and let us watch it like we do any other move. Remember, in movies, language is no barrier. You will know what I mean if you have watched a few world movies. Even with subttiles, these movies stand out. Cheers.
Of late, the kannada film industry has become a den of goons who project themselves as savior of Kannada. They have a say in all films about the actor and actress. Hence, the quality of kannada cinema, except a very few, could be counted, is horrible, terrible and cannot be watched singly, leave alone with family. The quality and culture has eroded. Raj and Vishnu would be grieving in heaven for the present status. Its high time, the Kannada film industry wake up and correct their mistake. Else, it will be nick named, Bhojpuri Cinema of South.

Kannadigas, dont worry. Now that, Film Star Ramya has become an MP, she will take care of Kannada Film Industry as Ambarish took care during his stint as MP for three times.
No doubt, Tamil Film Industry, appreciates and support new entrants and many producers are ready to help new directors. Many small budget films in tamil, of later, has made a very big name, the latest being Thanga Meengalm by a new Director Ram who has made only two films and has been recognised by Balu Mahendra and Balachander. Kannada film industry is controlled by Parvatamma group.

Though, I have not viewed any kannada movie since the demise of Raj (even before I used to watch only movies of Raj, Vishnu and Anant Nag), I shall definitely view it in theatre instead watch it on Youtube since its funded by people and let me be one amongst them.
movie is not a Timepass to watch, we should think the matter.. lucia movie is a story to konw about the life.. the songs are very meaning full and interesting to listn the songs..
Pawan, my question to you is simple. If you don't watch Kannada movies, then why do you expect us Kannadigas to watch your movie? Having said that I will not hesitate to watch your movie because I only watch Kannada movies. In the last 10 years, there are plenty of good movies from each hero Whatever I listed are movies which cater to audience like you. Vishnu sir - Yejamana, Verappa nayaka, Suryavamsha, Apthamitra, ApthaRakshka, Shivanna - Chigurida Kanasu, Jogi, Rishi, Sugreeva, Tamassu Puneeth - Milana, Akash, Prithwi, Arasu If you want art movies, they are also there. First watch them and support Kannada movies.
The current state of affairs in Kannada film industry is really pathetic due to some producers and directors who are not passionate about making good movies. Its a shame that there are no takers/distributors for this movie which has won so much accolades abroad and has won the prestigious Audience award at LIFF which is not an easy task competing with many other gr8 movies including the likes of Bombay talkies and monsoon shootout. What else should a movie achieve!! and still no one wants to screen it... it means good movies are not encouraged here, only cliched, remade atrocious masala movies where hero still bashes 25 goons is encouraged here. Infact the audience should grow and boycott such pathetic movies which is not happening. we don't have much intelligent audience i guess that's the reason good movies are not being taken and masala movies run 100 days!!! There could be possibly many more people like Pawan kumar who are passionate about making only good movies and as pawan said "to bring dignity in making and watching kananda movies " but no ones there to support. Kannada movie industry has lost dignity and thats the reason other state people criticize our movies and we have to get abused from others but helplessly. I think we as audience who are craving for good Kannada movies should encourage making such nice movies and provide monetary support from now on, on the same lines as how public has funded Lucia.
