The only way to counter the threat of another culture and language is to empower yourself.....the western culture has taken over India but we need Shiv Sena to ban women wearing jeans or celebrating Valentines day, what we need is the youth to be educated and proud of our culture (majority of Indians don't know much about our ancestors, Indian gurus, saints, meaning of religious festivals etc) so we can nonviolently pass it on to our kids and automatically do not feel the need to find it superior to wear jeans or ditch our customs For example, if Bollywood movies provide the ultimate entertainment, many Indians will not spend money to watch Iron Man but I don't see a Bollywood movie offering that kind of extravaganza so I watch Hollywood flicks like Iron Man, in many other cases, I find Bollywood flicks are better same goes for ULFA, rather than taking up guns and threatening artists and using the tactic of fear, open schools and spread the word in institutions that we are Assamese and our culture is supreme....your culture will be strong forever....Marathis need to learn from this as well.....the last thing we want is all these militant outfits like the taliban coming up all over India telling people what to do at gun point…learning another language for anyone is an added skill, be it Hindi or Chinese, I always wished that if I had one superpower (like some wish they could fly, some want to read mind), it should be that I can speak any language at any time and I alwa
