Vidyut was the villain in the tamil version of Thuppaki and is reprising his role in the Hindi version which will have Akshay instead of Vijay as the Hero. In fact they would need to reshoot only the last 15 minutes with Vidyut rest can be kept as it is. (Those who have seen the Tamil version will know why)

Yes..i saw the Tamil version a while ago, and he completely over shadowed and was way more charismatic than the hero (Vijay) ..
