Decided to check other websites, since some of us were claiming to have seen excellent reviews elsewhere:

Indian Express: "Why remake a classic if you can't improve upon it? Truly bad-door."
Deccan Herald: "David Dhawan seems determined not to let Sajid Khan get away with the honour of the worst botch-up of a remake."
NDTV: "If the original was a soothing and timeless melody, this is a raucous and forgettable item number"
DNA: "Chashme Baddoor feels like a forced attempt to please its audience"
Slightly favorable reviews "There are two ways you would enjoy this film: Either you haven't seen the original, or if you are sporting enough not to compare."
Favorable: Zee news : "In Hindi cinema, there is a reason David Dhawan enjoys the epithet of the King of Comedy and from the King’s treasure chest, the film is a gem. Three stars for the re-loaded ‘Chashme Baddoor’ not to be missed, this one!"
Yahoo: "Chashme Baddoor’ is exactly like any other film David Dhawan film, it is a good time pass. There is no clever humour.:
And for this obvious reason, I am going to wary of reading reviews from Zee and Yahoo from now on, definitely not from Zee :)
with the actors mouthing cheap dialogues. Bollywood is making more b grade movies. Havent seen the film and Will never watch such movies. A very good review with a perfect rating for this crap.
As unoriginal the name BOLLYWOOD is (HOLLYWOOD being original) mostly the movies nowadays are copy of southern India Hits or remakes of old Hindi Movies. Forced to laugh on each occassion average viewer has no choice but to gulp down cheap and garbage thrown at them. I can remember seeing trailers of movies like Housefull 2, Son of Sardar, etc and telling myself that i would never watch them, still sitting idle in front of TV we laugh at times seeing a few scenes of these movies. TRASH is the word for Bollywood because most of the so called directors are no good and are forced on us. Lets just kill their intellect by not going to theatres for such movies and instead appreciate good cinema. And also, please those who are inclined in movie business, get some education and then enter the business. (Mahesh Bhatt's uneducated daughter, and a lot more are entering the arena. They will become directors too at certain point of time. BEWARE!!!
Madam Sukanya, most of your reviews are awful. I rely on other sites for latest movie reviews. Who cares your reviews? Not even a single reader will buy your review.
When renowned critics like Taran Adarsh,Komal Nahta have given the film a very good reviews with good ratings,how can u give the film such a bad review ? It seems u dont have the sensiblity at all..even TOI have given the film a very good review..My suggestion to rediff is please hire known film critics who can give reviews which can be trusted by people !!

Taran Adarsh and Komal Nahta!!!! Ha ha ha !!!! you think they are Gods? Just Paid servants of Bollywood......they have loyalty and money worship and business things in hand. Grow up!
Directors like Sajid & David should be banned from Bollywood. Their movies are tastless, classless & made only for the rickshaw wallahs, taporis & other low class ppl. Sensible directors like Sai Paranjpe, Hrisida etc are very rare to find, and the classless society of ours will never appreciate their work.

I think even rickshaw wallahs nowadays have more refined sensibilities than of these so called "HIT" directors and that is why Himmatwala was outright rejected......

forget to minus Ram Goptal Verma the most worst director of Indian cinema who knows very well how to loot money from audience
