There was Dadasaheb Phalke and then there was Satyajeet Ray. One gave us Cinema and the other gave us new perspectives to it. Unmatchable guys with unbelievable passion and commitment.
Don't know why we don't have people like them making movies these days. Hardly see any person making such great movies/experiments with consistency and passion. There are just some one hit kind of guys who make good movies at start and succumb to typical bollywood and masala in the end.
India has produced the best art and culture personalities in the world like Ray,Hussain,Bhimsen Joshi etc.Indian art and culture is one of the best in the world.Only thing is that the average Indian don't appreciate it due to lack of brains.
Indians are the lowliest of low when it comes to sports.There is not even a single great Indian sports personality acclaimed around the world.This is why amitabh bachan was invited to carry the 2012 olympic torch representing India.
Lazy,useless cricket(played by 10 countries) is considered by Indians to be the best game in the world!!..period.Hahahaha.
Satyajit Ray hailed all over the western world but how many in India know him, leave alone watch his movies? Indians r only interested in copied baliwud..Indians r the lowliest of low, when it comes to art and culture..period..
