I was hoping Heroine would be nominated. Or at least they could have sent Joker or Rowdy rathore. But no hollywood film can ever get a filmfare award. Noone can beat kareena. She is so blonde.

ha!ha! they should have send Rowdy Rathore or Bol Bachchan or ETT.. those in oscar panel would have committed suicide out of frustration :P
All the best to Team barfi... though i would have preferred "gangs of Wasseypur" as it has already done well in the Cannes film festivals...nevertheless the theme of Barfi will get a wider connect and seriously i liked Barfi for the technical aspects - especially for the back-and-forth narrative

btw Amidst 100 cr shit films there have been some real good films this yr which includes Barfi,Kahaani,Shanghai,Vicky Donor,Gangs of Wasseypur,Paan Singh Tomar.. Surprisingly other than Tomar,Wasseypur other are directed by bengalis ... :)

I find Barfi1 technically brilliant with excellent use of back-n-forth narrative... Shanghai is a restrained film and good adaptation of "Z".. I liked Kosta Gavra's film as much as Banerjee's version :)
There is nothing great about this movie. Its over the top emotions and over acting by cast except that new girl who looks a bit sober. They story same old stuff pretentious to the core. Anurag Basu has just a made a single good film in gangster. Thats it. Although I thought the sings was really good especially the dil ye mera. Wonderfuly integrated in the movie too.

there is nothing great in the movie. there is no proper story. its the same old story. only the characters r different. it will not make any ripples in oscar. but i agree upon, film narration, acting editing and music, direction. but that doesnt make film is great. its a wrong movie for oscar.

Unfortunatly I have a brain which can think to form an opinion rather than blindly following what others say. Its a wrong movie which is going to oscar and it will not even make to the nomination stage.

Next, it is rip off of hollywood classic I AM SAM.Please go and watch and you will realize how silly Deivathirumagal is.. And when it comes to acting, Vikram hasn't done even half of what Sean Peen did in I AM SAM. Thank you.

watch it again if u did not understand. perhaps u will get some idea. if u still dont get the idea then watch a tv serial for next 1 year. it may help u. stop commenting on films.
