If Amaram was remade today, Mamooty would track the missing Ashokan through GPS and rescue him with a speedboat

I just don't understand why there is a trend of remakes of old movies & songs!Old hit songs also are again made(old wine in new bottle)Where are the screenplay writers, directorslike Fazil,Sibi Malayil,Kamal...! The era of Kiredom,New Delhi,Amaram,Bharatam...was good!!Nw lacking of stories...and just copying from the old..goodbusiness..easy job...

Uneccessary Remake
by dicktracy on Sep 13, 2012 04:37 PM  | Hide replies

Chattakari was a perfect movie in the 70's with superlative performances by Lakshmi, Soman and Mohan. However it was very much a product of its time not just in terms of costumes but also with the story and the morals. In todays day and age this will not work , even if the new movie is pretty good (check out the recent remakes like Nidra, Rathinirvedam and Rasaleela).
Movies like 22FK are products of our time and reflect our change in moral standards and tolerance

Exactly. The people behind remakes these remakes, as proven by Rathinirvedam have zero talent and creativity, just trying to make money by making semi p0 R, NN.
