Yes it is a good gesture.Soon the post of CM in TN will be occupied by a Malayalee just like MGR before.
Traffic is a wonderful film...It ought to be remade for wider audience to see and appreciate the art of cinema... Hope a good production house takes it up to be made in Hindi...A day in Mumbai probably :P

Correct me if I am not wrong, but I think it is already being remade with Ajay Devgan in the lead.

Malayalees and Kannadigas are more dependent on Kollywood. They always after producers to get chance. Kollywood gives opportunities to everyone, so naturally they bring thr stories from other industries. If they can make money there, why would they come to Kollywood to earn money? One more thing they get more popularity bcoz next to bollywood, kollwood is big in terms of market (India and abroad) and budget.

you are partly true. Kerala is one of the major market for tamil film revenue and we are dependent on you people. Peace!

The way 'manichitrathazhu' was distorted and damaged as 'chandramukhi' in Tamil same way Traffic will also be lost with herogiri and cheap slapstick comedy in Tamil

The collection for manichithra... was only in Kerala. The collection for chandramu... was world over. Commercially Rajini starrer collection in Japan was much more than entire Kerala's collection of Manichitra... That is the difference, if you really want grow up.

Speaking abt money and u want the other person to grow up!!! What an irony!!!..Yes that Malayalam movie could have made lesser profits bcoz the intelligent & literate Kerala ppl are NOT FOOLS to pay Rs 2000 for a movie. So understand who actually becomes reach bcoz of the lunatic way the tamil ppl see movies and their blind Fan Following...I hope u just got my point and I do not intend to hurt u my frnd..am a tamilian but hate the Fan Following of tamils. What if our cinema is inferior..Let it be..Let TN be the King in all Manufacturing sectors as Chennai is now in Automobiles

tamil may make worse copies but they make more money..manichitratazhu and chandramukhi were nowhere comparable commercially...what use of making intersting unviable movies?

There is more to cinema than just money, my friend. There are lots of movies making 100 crores like Rowdy Rathore and Dabangg etc. Are they any good ? Good movies come only once in a while with effort from talented directors and actors.

There are good movies in tamil but when you say meaningful cinema i prefer malayalam movies.. Fresh and realistic.. Malayalam industry where they produce meaninful entertainers...

Rowdy Rathore making 100 crores... means... it has generated enough employment for the people working with, even though Salman made a booty out of it. What is wrong? Movies are made to generate employment and also made for entertainment. Not for just exhibition or charity.
