I am very sad to get the news of sudden and unnatural departure of Mr Bhatti. He was the one who started Anti Corruption movementin his own style. May his soul rest in peace and my condolences for his family.
It was sometime in the eighties. There was only one channel for viewing. That was Doordarshan. Jaspal Bhatti was giving a New year's programme on the 31st of December of that year. In between the programme, Jaspal Bhatti's telephone rings. ( The old fashioned BSNL Landline ) The person at the other end tells to Jaspal Bhatti that he is calling from the INCOME TAX office and WANTS to know the amount paid by Doordarshan for his NEW year eve's programme. Jaspal Bhatti, in HIS USUAL STYLE shouts back " Hello, Hello, the line is NOT CLEAR - Please repeat - I am not able to hear YOU !! This goes on, until the disgusted Income tax Officer at the other end ' Hangs " up his phone !! Still, even today, those images come up before my eyes. A good humourist and satirist is NO MORE ! It's a LOSS to the world of GOOD HUMOUR !!!
Such a humorous talent has gone waste. Our babus have still not changed their work ethics in the center states or Muncipality and continue to harass common man and work only if bribed.

Sunny Solomon, if you do not enjoy these jokes, you can keep your mouth shut, but voicing your lousy opinion in public forum is not appreciated. Those days, these jokes were all enjoyed by masses.

cool down ladies and gentlemen. we do not know what sunny is referring to. even if he is referring to the legend, he has a right to form and express his own opinion. why are we losing our cool ? leave him alone. let us thank the legend for the witty and hilarious moments he gave us in difficult times and let us pray for his peace and his bereaved family. i hope his wife and son carry forward his legacy. bye friends.

My friend, especially when the person is no more, even if you have a negative opinion, you can keep it yourself and you need not broadcast, hurting sentiments of his fans.
